How to access WiFi on Campus

PHSC Wireless Networks

PHSC offers free wireless internet access (i.e. also known as Wi-Fi or WiFi) at all campuses for employees and students to use with their laptops or other mobile devices.  WiFi is available inside all buildings on each campus, and outside within a certain range of each building.

"Bobcats" wireless network

This is the recommended network for Students and Employees. It provides secure, encrypted wireless access. 

How to Connect

  1. Select "Bobcats" from the list of available Wireless Networks
  2. When prompted for a password, enter your Student ID number or Employee ID number

"PHSC-Wireless" wireless network

This network is also for Students and Employees. It provides secure, encrypted wireless access. 

How to Connect on an iOS Device

  1. Select "PHSC-Wireless" from the list of available Wireless Networks
  2. When prompted, enter your PHSC username and password
  3. Click Join
  4. When prompted about the certificate "wireless.int.phsc.edu", click trust


How to Connect on an Android Device

  1. Select "PHSC-Wireless" from the list of available Wireless Networks
  2. When prompted for:
    1. EAP Method, select "PEAP"
    2. Phase 2 Authentication, select "None"
    3. CA Certificate, select "Don't Validate"
    4. Identity, enter your PHSC username
    5. Anonymous identity, leave blank
    6. Password, enter your PHSC Password
  3. When ready, click "Connect"


Note: When using "PHSC-Wireless", you will need to occasionally reestablish your connection using your current credentials. This will happen, for example, whenever you change your PHSC password which is typically every two months for employees.
 

"PHSC-Guest" wireless network 

This option is intended for visitors to the college. It provides internet-only access. It can be accessed by simply agreeing to the terms and conditions that will be presented on the screen after connecting/opening a web browser.
